Gaia came to me with her 3 kittens. After a long truck ride from California she came out of the kennel, rubbed against my hand, and started purring. She doesn’t like to be picked up, but does love to be petted and scratched behind the ears. She will take attention over food most of the time. She is shy when there’s a lot of activity but comes out and watches the action after a bit. She hasn’t wanted to interact with my dogs much, she hides when they come panting at her, but peeks out and is curious. I believe she would do well with dogs that are willing to give her some space and time to get comfortable with them. She is frightened by loud noises and lots of activity. She’d do best in a quiet environment with 1-2 people around her at a time. Once she decides you’re ok she will be very affectionate and loving. She isn’t sure about toys yet, but is learning to play from her kittens and my other foster kitties. She has taken a couple of hours of patience to be comfortable with new faces but then comes out and shows her true loving personality.
