Meet Rosie (Bonded with Bailie)
Hello, I’m Rosie. I will be 11 years old next year, and though I am “middle-aged”, I have a youthful spirit. I could spend all day lounging and cuddling, and I also love galloping through an open field or hiking. People often think I look younger than I am (le sigh). I have a very sweet demeanor, and I wiggle whenever anyone pays me attention because I get so happy. I am good with other dogs when I meet them on a walk or at the park, and I love when I meet a dog I can run fast with. I am happiest when I am running fast. I do well off leash, especially with my harness. I have good manners, I don't jump, I don’t bark, I’m calm in the car and I am potty trained. I prefer to not be around very young children. Young children scare me because, when I was a baby I was abused in a family with children under 10. I love to be scratched around my face and jaw. I lost my teeth, which is a common thing with my breed, but it doesn't keep me from eating well and I love my Costco dog food. Sometimes I think I am a small lap dog, and I could lounge for hours peacefully knowing my human is right next to me, or under me :). I am simple and just want to be loved and to love. I will give you no trouble and lots of joy. I am very bonded with my sister Bailie, although we are very different! We hope to find our next forever home together. I hope we can meet soon!
**Rosie does have a little auto immune issue that expresses itself as peeling skin on her nose. This is managed by putting a pharmaceutical ointment on it prescribed by the vet. Its especially important in the winter because if not properly cared for, Rosies nose can crack and bleed and it causes her much discomfort.
