Meet Ernie

Meet Ernie, a sweet and calm young terrier who is as lovable as he is mellow. Ernie is a smaller dog and isn’t expected to grow much bigger, making him a great fit for just about any home. Unlike most pups his age, he’s calm and happiest just being near his people. He’s great with people of all ages (kids too!) and would make a wonderful companion dog.
Ernie’s favorite things are pets, curling up beside his humans, and walks, and when he’s really happy, he shows it with little spins that are guaranteed to make you smile.

Ernie is potty trained and crate trained, though he may whimper for a few minutes before settling down in his crate. He is great walking on a leash, but he will bark at passing dogs. This is something his new family will have to continue working on.

Ernie does not seem to be a big fan of other dogs and will bark at them to leave him alone. Although, he does currently live with a medium sized dog and tolerates it well, he would probably be happiest as his family’s one and only dog love. He can live with other dogs if they respect his space.
