Meet Luca

Hello, my name is Luca. I am a young pup and I love meeting new people and dogs so much! My foster mom says I would be the best boy if I had a big property to run around sniffing out critters or herding farm animals, having a job would be so much fun! But my kitty friend does not like my size and high energy, I just want to play but it scares him too much and I don’t want to hurt him.

I have learned a lot of things like “place” and “heel”because sometimes I have so much energy I get a little wild. I sleep in my kennel at night and when I am left alone, and have great manners in it! I love to go on car rides and go on hikes. I have a great off leash recall and am e-collar trained, so I am ready for all the adventures in store! I do get distracted by other dogs and people sometimes, so I am always working on my impulse control. the Summer I got to play in the river chasing my favorite buoy toy and even rode on a paddle board! I do not like to be bored so I am learning some tricks now like hide & seek sniff games, how to spin and cross my paws, patience is hard but I sure do love treats. Peanut butter is my favorite and antlers and buffalo horns for chewing.

I am very loyal to my human, would love another dog friend to run and wrestle with, and will be the best dog in an environment where I can get my energy out every day. Sometimes I get a little too excited when I play with other dogs, so I need reminders to settle down and not get too mouthy. I would love to have a job to keep my mind busy, and will certainly take food and love as my payment!
